The Colourful Wedding

Sarah Davis married her husband David in her home town, Omagh.
Her theme for the day was colour, Sarah said "I've always loved
bright colours and wanted people to remember my
wedding for its brightness. I know a lot of brides tend to stick
with understated and natural colours for their flowers and
bridesmaids but that's just not me, the brighter the better!

The Dress
Sarah's dress was by Ronald Joyce, she lost 3.5 stone for her
wedding and said that this dress was her inspiration.
Sarah wore a With Love From Pearl vintage-style,
asymmetric head band, with pave-set crystals.

The Bridesmaids
There were four bridesmaids and they wore dresses by Dessy. Sarah said
"I always wanted them to wear yellow. Even now, its the
bridesmaid dresses that people still comment on
when talking about the wedding".

The Groom, Best Man and Ushers
The groom, bestman, groomsmen and the two fathers wore black
suits from Tomorrows Bridal in Derry. Their buttonholes
were a mixture of pink and yellow gerberas to match the bridesmaids.

The Venue
The venue was the Belfray Country Inn in David's home town, Derry.
Sarah said " I wanted somewhere intimate where all my
guests could mingle and get to know each other.
Everyone said they had a brilliant day".

The First Dance
Sarah said "My first dance was By Your Side by Sade. I've always
wanted this song...even before I met David lol!!!"

Favourite moments of the day
"I had two favourite moments on my wedding day, walking down the
aisle with my daddy and seeing all my friends and family and the
journey in my wedding cars to the reception. We had so much fun
and let's just say far too many bottles of champagne were consumed!"

Congratulations Sarah and David, on your wedding and
now the expectance of your first child.

A vintage creation for one bride and her maids

I met Kate at Nonsuch Mansion Wedding Fayre last year, she contacted me with an order for her and her bridesmaids. I was delighted to create these vintage-inspired pieces for them all:

Kate's bridal necklace and earrings.

The original vintage clasp on Kate's necklace.

Bridesmaid earrings made from Swarovski crystals.

Cassie's Arizona Wedding

My first order from the US of A! Cassandra saw my blog and got in touch, what a clever lady! I really enjoyed working with her, she had some great ideas, and we made a beautiful vintage hair slide and vintage pearl necklace for her wedding day. There wasn't much time to get it all done and sent to Arizona in time for her big day, but luckily it all went to plan and it sounds like they had an amazing day. Wedding photos to follow soon, but for now check out what I made for her...

Vintage hair slide made with love, from a mixture
of pave-set crystals and pearls on a silver tone.

Asymmetric double strand pearl necklace with
original vintage pave-set rhinestone piece.

The necklace had an original vintage clasp added.

A small pic of Cassandra looking absolutely beaming on her wedding day.
Please send more pics soon Cassie!

Nasreen's Ruby Red creations

I'd like to show you my first bridal design which includes some colour. My beautiful customer Nasreen wore a stunning dress with a modern twist, which included some red in it. She loved my vintage designs but wanted to add some red to one of the headbands that I had in my shop.

This is the vintage headband I adapted to suit her dress. It was made from original vintage pave-set crystals and red Swarovski beads.

As with all of With Love from Pearl's jewellery and hair adornments, the headband was carefully packaged along with a handwritten note to the bride, which she will be able to read back and reminisce any time, perhaps even hand it down to her daughter one day.

Nasreen also had some necklaces made for her bridesmaids. Here's one of them:

From the drawing board

I've recently completed a bespoke vintage bridal headband for a customer. I thought you'd be interested to see what the design looks like, from the drawing board to the finished head piece.

Polly's Band

I have been very busy since Christmas with orders for brides that are getting married this year. Bespoke vintage bridal headbands still seem to be the most popular, with the absolute favourite being Polly's band, which is the first ever design I created. As you know, Pearl likes to keep her designs as one offs, so each headband since has been adjusted to suit the bride.
