Mrs Cobb and her vintage wedding accessories

Kate wore a vintage-style flower to the side which contrasted beautifully
with her dark locks, along with vintage pearl earrings, all one-of-a-kind
and hand made With Love from Pearl x

Kate's bridesmaids wore vintage hair slides and Swarovski
crystal necklaces. They looked stunning in their bright dresses.

Customer Wedding - Mrs Powell

Hello my lovely blogettes

Today I am allowing you a sneak peek at the wedding of Mr & Mrs Powell, and showcasing the unique, vintage hair adornments and jewellery that were hand made With Love from Pearl, for Ellie and her bridesmaids.

As Ellie is a friend of mine, I had the pleasure of joining in with the celebrations. It was a beautiful day, full of emotion and laughter. Ellie was a true English rose, and her bridesmaids looked vibrant in Ellie's favourite colour; red.

Here are some photos from the big day.

Ellie had a custom-made tiara, adorned with original vintage jewels

Wedding Fair at Nonsuch Mansion, Surrey

This weekend, Pearl was in Surrey with a collection of vintage bridal hair adornments and jewellery. I had a great stall alongside wedding business friends The Original Wedding Tea Towels, who were showing their unique wedding invitations to the hundreds of brides-to-be. It was such a great day, in a beautiful location, Nonsuch Mansion must be checked out if you are looking for a wedding venue in Surrey. Karen (from www.weddingteatowels.co.uk) and I had so much fun, we met lots of funky brides who loved the idea of sending out their invitations on tea towels, and were also really into the one-of-a-kind vintage items that I had on display. I will be looking forward to creating some bespoke pieces for some of the brides that I met.

The gold has intricate filigree settings, which
are set off with sparkling crystals and pearls.

vintage wedding headbands and jewellery that I have
recently created, along with descriptions.

The K Brooch

This week I had the pleasure of making a bespoke brooch
that my friend's husband commissioned me to make for
her 30th Birthday. I used an original vintage aurora borealis
piece combined with the finest yards of ribbon in gorgeous
ivory, champagne and violet colours.

I was inspired by vintage corsages for the piece and was
very happy to hear that the recipient loved her new brooch.

Happy Birthday Karen. With Love From Pearl x

The beautiful brides-to-be

Two of my very lovely friends, Ellie and Charlotte are soon to
be blushing brides, and I had the pleasure of crafting the
accessories for their big days. Ellie is having her hair in a wee
bouffant at the front, and the tiara above will be sitting
elegantly on top of her pretty little head.

Ellie also commissioned me to make her bridesmaids' necklaces
and bracelets. She choose these v sparkly love hearts herself.

All of this was packaged up, in With Love From Pearl's signature
brown paper bag and ivory tiara box.

Charlotte went for a mixture of modern and vintage pieces
combined with Swarovski crystals and pearls on a band
that was covered with ivory ribbon, to make a beautiful
asymmetrical headband for a very beautiful lady.

Each headdress that is hand made, with love from Pearl comes
with a hand-written card to the bride-to-be to explain how it has
been made, so that they can tell their grandchildren all about it
in a good few years to come.

This is the necklace and earrings that I made for Charlotte
to compliment her headband. My favourite part is the pretty
vintage clasp on the necklace. The necklace looks stunning
on Charlotte. I can't wait to be a guest at both weddings.

Thank you to Charlotte and Ellie for
being Pearl's very first customers.

Gorgeous wedding pics of the big days to follow...

The best vintage sale I've been to in MK yet...

Today I met so many lovely people at the Vintage Sale in
Newport Pagnell, one of those lovely people was Alexa from
Vintage Splendour, if you love all things vintage and haven't
already visited her website, then you are missing out, all of
those gorgeous goodies in the pic above are hers. Check out:

I had some of my Beadoir Jewellery and wedding headbands
on display today, they were all squeezed on to a teeny, tiny table.

There was such a great mix of stalls, the day much exceeded my
expectations. It was a proper vintage sale, here in Milton Keynes.
I'm not sure if too many of you knew about it, but if you missed
out, don't fret, Sian, the organiser is planning on doing
another in August before she embarks on her trek in
China to raise more money. So, you should all come to
that one. It is well worth it, there was tons of home ware and
very unusual accessories and clothing, and all at reasonable prices too.

This is Laura's stall, she had a such a cool mix of retro stuff, she's
clearly got a great eye for picking out quirky items. Can you spot the
vintage Max Factor bath cubes with the stunning typography on the box?
Laura currently sells her stuff on eBay, but I've recommended Folksy
to her, so I'll let you know if I find out she's opened up a shop.

Tomorrow I'll be at a Vintage Sale in Newport Pagnell, Bucks.
It starts at 9am and finishes at 2pm, so get up bright and early
and come and see us. There will be lovely home wares, clothing
and of course my vintage accessories and bridal headbands.

It's run by Sian who is raising money for Parkinson's UK, not
only is she doing this, but she is also walking part of The Great Wall
of China. I wish her all the best. Come along tomorrow and offer
your support and pick up something beautiful at the same time.

Welcome

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is Donna and I have been making jewellery since I was eleven years old. I have a fairly new love for making jewellery for brides, and this has developed into making vintage bridal headbands too. I've had such great feedback from my friends that have seen and bought some from me, so I decided to open a shop on Folksy, you can peruse here: www.withlovefrompearl.folksy.com

I've held a stall at a couple of craft fairs recently, the best being MaKe at Wolverton, where I met some lovely people and got to read their blogs after the fair. I found them so interesting, I decided to do one myself. So here goes...
